Spin.... my idea of what Hell would be like.

Hello loves. So as my adventure in weight loss continues, I have matured in my sport wear. I even bought a new fancy pair of $100 trainers.

And some new ugly work out shirts, but have some sort of sweat technology thingy.

As I have been able to build my stamina, I have started to adventure in new classes. So here is this weeks:

Mimi's Idea of Personal Hell: Spin

See these little evil yellow things, yes, this is my idea of the vehicle I would be forced to ride, if I ever went to hell. This little yellow bike makes me sweat til my hair turns curly. It makes me turn red, then a little blue and finally, full on purple. It makes me curse my mama's name. So, why is it all I think about now? I think mostly because, last night, as I was contemplating, just leaving the class, I got a good look in the side mirror and saw my body's profile. And let me just say, I didn't like what I saw. So, I tried a little harder, and when I felt even more spent, I tried a little harder. By the time class was over, I was soaked in sweat, I looked beyond ugly, my legs were wobbly and I smelled like sweat and Lavin. Even though all this sounds terrible, I felt AMAZING! Like I conquered something. Its these little steps that make you want to push yourself further. So thank you little spit fire instructors with your cute little bandanas. You are helping me push myself further then I have ever made myself go. Next week..... Body Combat!

So friends, for those of you wondering, has she lost any from all her work outs........ check it out, a couple of pounds away from Onederland!

The Twitter

Oh, I forgot! Don't forget to follow me on the twitter.... TheBigFatBet

Failing.. is it even an option?

So, again life has been too busy to keep up on my little blog. Here is a run down of the last couple of weeks: worked for 2 weeks straight push my weekends together so I can go home to VA to see my family, got sick 2 days before my mini vacation with the flu, went on vacation was too sick to enjoy it, came home (still sick) worked over worked over 40 hours in 4 days to make up for days off and extra hours I took off for being sick, caught up with as much work as possible AND going to wellness doctor. Yup that has been my life for the last 3 weeks. Pretty crazy.

So, in order to get back on track, this is where I currently stand regarding my bet: size 16 (but can zip into a 14), I am going to the gym 3 times a week, I am not really doing great on my diet ( I kinda blame getting seeing my Aunt Flo 3 times in a month!) and I weigh 204 pounds... Not so good.

I sorry, I just have been so down lately, this flu just won't go away. But, I know I can't make excuses any more, so I promise to get back on track... there's a lot riding on it!

MIA

I am actually embarrassed that I have been MIA for the last month. In all fairness, work has been hectic, and by hectic, I mean its been all I have been doing. Also, gonna be honest I have cheated pretty badly. Here is a list of items I have indulged in:

1. A Mocha Ice Storm from Nordstrom

2. 2 Cadburry Eggs
3. A Venti Ice White Chocolate Mocha
4. Pizza
5. Fried Calamari
6. A small box of Valentine's Day Chocolate
7. Rolos
8. A delish night of Wazuzu
9. Escargot in yummy butter, garlic and parsley
10. Caesar Salad with extra dressing

I think that is all, since I have been keeping a list of items written in my little reminder book. I feel guilty of eating all of these items, but not going to joke, they were all oh so yummy.

I am very proud to say, I have continued my work out routine. I work out at least 5 times a week and I have ....... my very first muscle! It's a little one on my arm, but there is definite definition happening! I see changes happening in my body, they are small changes but things are starting to melt away. I also have been able to keep up in classes, run faster and do more resistance in my weight training. Honestly people, why did no one REALLY tell me that working out makes you feel better!

Ok, so I truly apologize to all my readers for leaving you like I did, but I promise to never do it again. There are many amazing things happening right now in my life, and I can't wait to share them with you all.

Now, here a question, what do you want to see on here??? I have lots of resources and want to know, WHAT DO YOU WANT? Leave me a comment!

Senior Citizen Step Class Kicked My _____....

Yes, you heard it right, I was dominated and schooled by a bunch of 75 year old grandma's in step class this morning. In all fairness it was Step 2. Thank god Carla was with me, because 20 minutes in, I got very frustrated and mouthed to Carla "I'm out" as I stumbled around my step trying NOT to twist my ankle. She stopped mid around the world and gave me a come to Jesus, "This is what you do Mimi, if there is something you can't do then you quit! You are not going to quit this class because if you do, then I will." What? Is that what I do? Hmm... I guess I do.

Last night we went to Zumba class, a class I have attended several times with Carla and every time I have always quit half way in and stood there with my arms crossed, pouting that I wanted to go home. But last night was different, I didn't quit, not only that ,but I had fun. Scratch that, I had LOTS OF FUN! So lesson learned, if you don't quit, then one day your steps moves will be as sweet as grandmas. Challenge accepted!

Shake My Booty

It's such a strange thing to wake up at 6:45 am with a huge smile on my face, get dressed in my awesome work out clothes, give the man a kiss goodbye for the day and get my booty to the gym. When did it become fun to work out? I am not sure if it my competitive side or if I just want to fit into my amazing vintage clothing I have been storing up all these years. But, let me tell you this, I love to shake my booty.

I hung out with my favorite cuzzie, Carla this morning and we talked a bit about cooking healthy. She asked me, how do you know how to cook something healthy? Uh... I guess I really don't know how, but I am learning little tricks. I don't use oils, I don't fry, I don't eat anything white, the more colors on your plate the healthier, and if it tastes like cardboard, it probably good for you. All easy peasy things that are pretty healthy. This little statement inspired something awesome... new weekly segments that you all can join in on:

Ask the Trainer!
and
Ask the Nutritionist!

Two very awesome women are showing me the ways to healthy and they are here to help you too! I am going to be writing little intro blogs on them later this week and every Wednesday we will be asking them the questions you have always wondered and didn't know who to ask. So please please please, send me your questions and they will answer. Send all questions to kissmekoko@yahoo.com .

I am really looking forward to learning even more about what is going on with my body, aren't you? Have a fabulous day.

Some days I feel like this...

Monday, January 3, 2011

Oh, so your 2011, I've heard a lot about you... glad to meet you

I really feel the need to list the things I plan to do this year. Let's just say last year wasn't exactly my most favorite year, but some amazing things happen during it. So since this is an open forum of making my goals, here they are for 2011:

1. Win The Big Fat Bet.
2. Make healthy living a lifestyle.
3. No soda's for 1 year.
4. No Starbucks for 1 year.
5. Save as much money as possible.
6. Cut back on shopping as much as humanly possible.
7. Keep the house streamlined.
8. Keep in touch more with my family and friends.
9. Have more adventures.
10. Start trying for a little Max or Avi.

This is going to be one of those years that change my life.
